Shayad !!!

Have you ever felt not being in love still in love? That’s exactly what happens when ‘Shayad’ hits my ears. I suddenly start to feel like a hopeless, lovestruck teenager who knows nothing but to love.

‘Shayad kabhi na keh sakun main tumko,
Kahe bina samajh lo tum shayad’

You want them to know but you can’t tell them so. Peacefully frustrating isn’t it?
Remember those stupid scenes where all you wanted was to steal just one look of that one ‘crush’ from your super shy eyes? Remember those sessions of learning each line by heart but still ending up stuttering like a 3 year old when they came to talk? Remember dancing like a fool by merely receiving a ‘hi’? Remember irritating the whole world around you by shamelessly singing the most romantic songs in the worst voice and tone?
But all that made sense back then. And, not just their smile but even their frowns were your brownie points because

Na chahiye kuch tumse zyada tumse kam nahi’.

Ankhon ko khwab dena, khud hi sawaal karke, khud hi jawab dena teri taraf se’

How can we forget being the problem, the person with that problem, the therapist and the therapy all by ourselves? We used to be so madly in love that all we needed was the idea of that person. Rest everything was ours to keep and weep.

And I feel that’s how love is, naive and fearless. When love meets attachment and expectations, that’s when it turns into pain.

Why are we now so complex and confined? Why is reciprocation the base of our thoughts and not our own emotions?
We are all older, wiser and better. But the purest love still lies in that timid heart, unheard whispers and crazy stutters.

Let’s love like teenagers again? ❣️

Always and Forever
